Found your blog by chance today and wanted to comment on your Homer Laughlin "Ferndale" china. I rec'd a set when my aunt passed away: service for 16 w/creamer, sugar, serving pieces... But, there weren't any of those lovely square plates... Now, I thought that I only wanted a salt and pepper to complete my set, but find that I envy your square plates.... Maybe I'll look for those as well. A note for you and other collectors: I found several pieces of this china and several other things I collect at GoodWill. You can't beat the prices and, as Forrest Gump says, "it's like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're gonna get."
